Oreland Mill Road Fire 1/26

At 1:01am Station 700 was dispatched to an “unknown” type fire in the 600 block of Oreland Mill Road. Springfield Township Police Department arrived on location and reported unknown structures on fire. The call was upgraded to a full box assignment bringing the Wyndmoor Hose, Flourtown Fire Company, Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1 as RIT and the Springfield Ambulance Association. Chief 700 and Deputy 700 arrived on location to find heavy fire in the rear of a home with extension to the first floor and a propane tank venting. Engine 702 laid 600 feet of 5″ supply line to the scene and crews went to work extinguishing the fire and perform primary searches. All occupants were accounted for and the dog was found in the home unharmed. Weldon Fire Company was called as an additional RIT team. Last units cleared at 4:00am.
